The Rev. Dr. Larry E. Campbell serves as the Senior Pastor of First A.M. E. Church in Pasadena, CA.  Before assuming the pastorate of FAME, Pasadena, he served as the Senior Pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in San Bernardino, CA for over eight years.  He is also the founding Pastor of Grace A.M.E. Church in Temecula, CA where he served for over six years. While serving on a military assignment in Okinawa, Japan, he served as the interim Pastor of the Foster Gospel Chapel Service for one year.
Dr. Campbell is a proud native of Jacksonboro, S.C.  He enjoys a blessed marriage to Melinda G. Campbell, a talented woman in her own right; they have been married for over 36 years.  They are especially proud of their beloved adult son, Terrence Lamar Campbell.  Dr. Campbell is a military veteran who proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired as a Chief Warrant Officer-5 with over 29 years of distinguished military service.   
Dr. Campbell believes an investment in knowledge pays the best interest. He is the proud recipient of an earned Doctorate of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Human Resource Management from National University; a Masters of Divinity Degree from Azusa Pacific University; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from National University.
 
Dr. Campbell serves with a Pastor’s heart and strongly believes that biblical teaching plus preaching equals healing. He is committed to saving souls, spreading the good news of the gospel through the preached word, and administering to the spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and environmental needs of God’s people.
